The repair pass is driven by measurement rather than presets, and each stage only fires where your recording needs it. Mains hum at 50 or 60 Hz is notched out along with its harmonics. Background noise, hiss and room tone are reduced against a noise profile taken from your own file. Clipped peaks are reconstructed, rumble and DC offset are removed, and a lopsided stereo image is brought back to centre. Harsh sibilance is tamed on speech, muddy, boxy or thin tonal balance is corrected by wide and gentle automatic EQ, uneven levels are steadied, flat over-compressed audio is given its transients back, and the whole file is normalized with true peaks held at −1 dBTP. Nothing about this is aggressive: every stage has guardrails, does less when in doubt, and never touches your original file. SoundSpice is built to avoid making a recording worse, not to promise that any recording can be rescued.
Once the repair pass is done you can add character, or leave it alone. Eight finishing blends sit behind a single tap — None keeps the processed file with nothing added, Natural adds gentle warmth below 100 Hz and smooths above 8 kHz, Voice lifts speech presence around 3 kHz and steadies the level, Warmth rounds the lows and softens the upper mids, Brightness opens the top above 10 kHz with a touch of width, Punch sharpens transients and firms up the low end, Depth adds weight that carries on small speakers, and Vintage brings tape-style saturation with a softened top.
